Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier

It’s hard to believe that the winter of 20-21 flew by as quickly as it did! …………. Our PIER STAFF are busy preparing for a very busy 2021 Season! ………… Dr. Bogus tests the WATER TEMPERATURE daily and we are now hovering around 50-52*, which is perfect for this time of year! ……….. After a relatively mild, but wet winter, the early spring looks promising for fishing and beach fun. ………….. The final phases of BEACH RE NOURISHMENT are coming to the pier area on or before APRIL 1st; hopefully in time for EASTER WEEKEND, which is April 4th this year …………. The 2021 BEACH SEASON will be a challenge this year as we will be charging in our parking lot beginning April 15th through Labor Day. The TOWN of EMERALD ISLE made the decision to charge all summer based on a couple of factors. Topsail Beach and Surf City will be charging for Beach Parking through October this year, which is a first for that area. This prompted Emerald Isle to follow suit to avoid being overrun by those in search of free everything up our way! ………… We had no choice but to work with the Town at that point because our facilities cannot handle a super large influx of beachers. We have to maintain parking spaces for pier fishing and Surf’s Up!, our oceanfront restaurant. ………….. One silver lining, though ……….. we strongly encourage walk-in and bicycle traffic so the maximum amount of people can enjoy our brand of hospitality! ………… We are doing our best to hold down prices post-pandemic (we hope), and are proud to say that ALL fishing is the same rate as it has been for the last 8-10 years! ………….
